Who Poops Gold?

Hi … question for ya … what do you do when you’re pooping on the toilet? No … seriously … we wanna know – when you’re sitting on the porcelain throne, whatcha got going?

Actually, picture this scene from the Family Feud game show … “100 people surveyed – top seven answers on the board –here’s the question – Name Something People Do While Taking A Poop … BEEEEEEP … read a newspaper …

So ok, read a newspaper, what else … cut your fingernails? … homework? … eat? … listen to music? … tequila shots? And we think it’s safe to assume plenty of iPhone action on the pooper – textin’, emailin’, twitterin’, gamin’, etc.

Which gets us thinking … there should be a Poo Price-off … Steve Jobs versus Bill Gates. Screw the whole “I’m a Mac vs PC” nonsense … give the people what they really want … Steve or Bill … who craps the most gold?

The Impossible Dream

funnypee1 Back in February, we ran an article titled History Was Made, Sort Of. We opened the article by commenting on the massive number of fart, burp and vomit KRAPPS that were beginning to appear in the App Store. The story continued stating that even with all these  KRAPPS launching, there were still no urine apps … and while we could foresee a day when a urine app could get approved from Apple, we concluded that a urine sound effect app was just too crude and vulgar – even for Apple’s relaxed standards. So we settled for the next best thing, urine assistant apps, apps that help you pee in public when you get stage fright … the iPee and Shy Bladder apps.

(by the way, after our article hit Twitter … @Shy_Bladder began following us … go figure)

Boy have times have changed … flash forward two months and what we thought would be impossible for Apple to approve … we are shocked once again.

A proud and historic Apple moment … the first iPhone app which simulates the sound of taking a leak .. and the newest member of the Appa iFonna Chi fraternity. With a simple touch of a button, you can make your friends think you’re peeing on their couch, in their car, in a water bottle or wherever. Pissing intensities vary from “Tinkle” …. to “Like A Race Horse”.

But hold on, it gets better. The Pee Factory is no rudimentary pee pee app … oh no … this is advanced pissing technology at its finest! It’s like virtual reality pissing – you can control the intensity of urine flow by holding your iPhone up or down … you can sprinkle your pee by rapidly tilting/shaking your iPhone (gee, wonder what that’s supposed to simulate). And since this is such a complex app, thank God Talus Media included detailed instructions on how to properly use The Pee Factory …

So everyone – please take a moment to reflect. Reflect on this new achievement of krap from Apple. Reflect on your dreams and no matter what, never give up … rather follow those dreams to their fullest … because if Apple can approve a pissing app, then any dream is possible. Cheap Bastards

Camping3 Tally Up is a nifty little calculator the enables the user to divide multiple expenses over a group of people – so that each individual pays the proper amount and no one gets the shaft. The developer claims he wrote this app in response to a real life camping trip he attended … 12 people went on the trip, 7 people drank beer, 11 people ate breakfast and 10 people ate dinner … with Tally Up, simply enter the data and the app will spit out, down to the penny, the correct amount each individual owes. In conclusion, the developer states that a 45 minute problem on his real life camping trip can now be reduced to 3 minutes.

Camping2 Wow! Honestly, we’d think twice about ever going on a camping trip again with the guy who whips out his iPhone and starts punching in numbers into Tally Up. So accuracy is not down to the penny – who cares – what’s a few dollars amongst friends? And these 12 folks sat there for 45 minutes, crunching numbers, trying to figure out who owes what and what’s the fair share? LOL! Cheap bastards. We can imagine the bickering back and forth over the dollar amounts. Didn’t anyone figure their time and effort were better spent making another beer run? Sounds like one heck of a group … be sure to throw us an invite to next year’s trip … we’re am so there!

Sliders App

sliders_logoGIF I really enjoy puzzle games. But there are a lot of games out there that seem to take a theme and beat it in to the ground without really changing anything. They slap on some different graphics and say it’s “new” when really it’s the same old game with glitter on it. So, when I’m combing though all these games, I’m pleased when I find one that’s not like all the others. One that has some of the same characteristics but adds a new twist. Something to make your puzzle fingers excited again. Well folks, there are games like this out there – breaking the mold and do something different. One of these new games is Sliders by Gnizama.

Sliders is a game that brings something different to the Match-3 table. When you start the game, you are presented with a 5 x 5 board of brightly colored blocks. You then slide the blocks side to side or up and down to make matches of 3 or more colors. But, here’s where it gets different. In most Match-3 games, you must make a move that results in a match. In Sliders, you can slide the blocks where you want to as many times as you need to pick up big combos and Special Matches. Special Matches are certain block configurations that give you mega point bonuses! They are listed in the help section of the game. There are 3 different game modes; Timed, Strategy and Free Play. In Timed mode you are given 120 seconds to score as many points as possible. If you make a match of 4 or more blocks, or a Special Match, you will get extra time. In Strategy Mode you have 50 moves to get the highest score. As with Timed mode, if you make a match of 4 or more etc; you gain extra moves. Free play mode lets you play without timers or other distractions to practice getting those huge combos and Special Matches.

What’s great about Sliders? It’s a great little game that changes the Match-3 game play up a bit. The graphics are very clean and polished. I am in love the sounds and the background music. It gives a great feel to the game, a lightness that’s enjoyable to listen to. The gameplay is simple, yet addicting. Trying to get the Special Matches is challenging and they really make you want to play more to get them. What’s not so great? There is no separate scoreboard included. The game only records your highest score in either Timed mode or Strategy mode. It’s displayed on the information page. There is also no in game Global Scoreboard. I’d also like to see more times added or the timer extended a bit so you can play timed mode longer. 120 seconds doesn’t seem like enough time to me. Or maybe it’s because I liked timed mode best and want to play it longer!

My overall impression of Sliders: if you like puzzle games, then you really should give it a try. It’s a great pick and play game and you don’t need a lot of time on your hands to play. Unless you are the addictive type and end up playing for longer than you planned. Sliders can have that effect, so be careful! But do try it. Remakes of movies, songs, automobiles, etc. can get tricky … propensity to fail is high as emulating a classic is tough. That’s why the folks at Gnizama did a marvelous job putting their spin on the classic Match-3 game … no fail for them as Sliders is a big win and thus 100% anti-KRAPPS Certified.
